We started the day by going to the Vatican Museum. You can't take a picture in the Sistine Chapel :( and I really wanted to, but this ceiling leading down the hallway to the Chapel will have to do for photos. Seeing the Sistine Chapel, being in the Sistine Chapel took my breath away.
Then off to the Colloseum--the weather cooperated and the rain stopped long enough to show us some beautiful blue skies and puffy white clouds.

I am absolutely enamored with the adorable bicycles of the Italian people. They are creaky and rusty and they have so much character! (more bicycle photos to come from Florence)
